Privacy Policy

1. Overview

BourdonLab operates liquidgold.cc ("Liquid Gold"). This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions go through bourdonlabs.com.

2. Information we collect

Account identity. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and avatar to create and operate your account.

Your library activity. The channels you explore and follow, bookmarks, votes, and exploration progress.

Subscription records. If you subscribe, we keep a mirror of the outcome: which plan you are on, its status, when the paid period ends, and the identifiers Polar uses for your customer and subscription. Polar is the merchant of record and holds the payment itself — card details never touch our servers.

Usage counters. A running count, per day, of the usage your account records against its plan allowances. These are counts only: we do not store your queries, your questions, or the answers you receive.

Technical data. Request metadata used to run the service and defend it from abuse, including Cloudflare Turnstile checks on forms.

3. How we use it

We use this information to operate your account, record your plan's daily allowances, and keep the service working. To understand how the product is used and to catch errors, we send usage events (pages viewed, features used, and error reports) to PostHog, our product analytics provider, hosted in the United States. When you are signed in, these events carry your account ID but not your email address. We do not run advertising trackers or sell personal data.

4. Public channel data

Exploration reads public YouTube data. The channel pages built from it are public — anyone can view them, the same way anyone could watch the source videos. Your private library and votes stay tied to your account and are not published.

5. Agent connections

When you connect an agent, you sign in and approve access through OAuth. We store the client registration, your consent, and authorization records to manage that connection. The client receives OAuth tokens scoped to what you approved: reading published channel knowledge by default, and — only if you grant them — reading your saved channels, moments, and notes, or saving and organizing items in your library when you ask. It never receives your password or browser session.

6. Email

We send only transactional mail about your account. Billing receipts come from Polar, our payment provider, not from us. There are no marketing emails and no recurring channel update digest. Where we do send mail you can opt out of, every message carries an unsubscribe link, and you can change your preferences from your profile or at /email/unsubscribe.

7. Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. Daily usage counters are kept for a limited period and then deleted automatically. If you want your account and its data deleted, contact us through bourdonlabs.com and we will remove it; any live subscription is cancelled with Polar first, so you are never charged after deletion.

8. Cookies

Liquid Gold uses cookies for session authentication only. Product analytics runs without cookies or local storage: its identifier lives in memory and ends when you close the tab. We do not run advertising trackers or sell personal data.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service changes. The effective date above always reflects the current version.
