Terms of Service

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service form a binding agreement between you and BourdonLab, the operator of liquidgold.cc ("Liquid Gold", "we", "us"). By using Liquid Gold you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. What the service is

Liquid Gold turns public YouTube channels into structured knowledge: topics, transcripts, videos, and packaged exploration skills. You explore channels, follow what you trust, and can connect AI agents to the same reads via the Model Context Protocol (MCP).

Liquid Gold is an independent service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube or Google.

3. Your account

You sign in with Google. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your agent connections trusted. If you believe your account was compromised, contact us so we can revoke active sessions.

4. Subscriptions

Liquid Gold sells subscriptions, not individual channels. Every plan is billed monthly or annually by our payment provider Polar, which acts as merchant of record and issues your receipts; we never see or store your card details. Signing in without paying puts you on the free plan.

What a plan gives you is capacity, not exclusivity. Every processed channel is available on every plan, including the free one; reading is not gated by plan, and the website stays open to every account. MCP connections and downloads require paid access, with an administrator exception. Your account records your plan's daily allowances, and they reset at midnight UTC. Usage never triggers charges beyond your plan's price.

You can cancel at any time from the customer portal. Cancelling stops the next charge and is not a refund: your plan and its limits stay active until the end of the period you already paid for, after which the account returns to the free plan. Refunds are handled under our refund policy.

5. Agent connections

When you connect an AI agent (MCP client) to Liquid Gold, you approve access through OAuth, one permission at a time. The basic MCP permission covers reading published channel knowledge and its sources. A separate “library” permission lets the agent read your saved channels, moments, and notes, and a “write” permission lets it save and organize items in your library — only when you ask it to. Agents never receive your password or browser session. You may disconnect the client at any time.

6. Channel content

Channel knowledge is derived from public YouTube data. We do not own that content; the original creators do. Use what Liquid Gold shows you for personal exploration, and respect the rights of the creators whose work underlies it. Do not resell or redistribute channel content or skill archives.

7. Acceptable use

Use Liquid Gold lawfully. Do not attack or overload the service, circumvent payment, rate, or access controls, or use the service to infringe others' rights. We may suspend access that violates these terms.

8. Availability and changes

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We may add, change, or discontinue parts of Liquid Gold, including plan limits and prices. A price change never applies to a period you have already paid for. If a change materially reduces something you paid for, contact us and we will make it right.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The effective date above always reflects the current version. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
