Install in five steps

  1. Download and unzip

    Use the download button above, then extract the ZIP. Move the extracted folder somewhere you will keep it, such as Documents. Chrome needs that folder to run the extension.

  2. Open Chrome’s extension settings

    Paste chrome://extensions into Chrome’s address bar and press Enter. Turn on Developer mode in the top-right corner.

  3. Choose Load unpacked

    Click Load unpacked and select the extracted folder containing manifest.json. Choose the folder, not the ZIP file. LiquidGold should appear in your extensions list.

  4. Pin and open LiquidGold

    Open the puzzle-piece Extensions menu beside Chrome’s address bar. Pin LiquidGold, then click its icon to open the right-hand side panel.

  5. Make it yours

    Sign in on liquidgold.cc to bookmark channels. Invited contributors can also sign in from the side panel, choose their lanes and press Start. Pause at any time. Closing the pinned work tab also pauses contributing.

Know what you are installing

This is an unpacked build, not a Chrome Web Store install. Only download it from this page. Review Chrome’s permission notices before continuing.

The extension works on YouTube and Liquid Gold, saves files you request, and uses storage and a side panel. Contributing opens its own pinned, muted work tab. Optional local GPU work downloads model files from Hugging Face.

Updates and help

To update: pause contributing, download the new ZIP here, and replace the files inside your existing extension folder. Keep the same folder path. Open chrome://extensions and click Reload on LiquidGold. Unpacked builds do not update automatically.

“Manifest file is missing”? Extract the ZIP first and select the folder that directly contains manifest.json.

Developer mode unavailable? A managed work or school browser may block unpacked extensions. Ask your administrator; do not disable browser protections.
