How this channel uses ‘hyperscaler’ In the material captured here, hyperscaler appears in the context of a state government's AI strategy. New Jersey's AI hub is being built with a major cloud provider — Microsoft — and the governor frames such companies as the infrastructure-level partners a state needs when it wants to run AI programs at scale. The point being made is not about cloud jargon for its own sake: it is that the enormous computing capacity behind modern AI is concentrated in the hands of a few companies, and institutions that want to build on AI end up partnering with them directly.
